Jamaica's premier trade show for manufacturers and exporters, the JMA/JEA Expo Jamaica 2010, starts today!
It is put on jointly by the Jamaica Manufacturers' Association (JMA) and the Jamaica Exporters' Association (JEA) and showcases world class quality products that Jamaica has to offer.
(The JMA is a private sector organization that exclusively represents Jamaican manufacturers, whilst the JEA seeks to promote and support the growth and development of the export sector in Jamaica).
Expo Jamaica 2010 is especially timely, as it also seeks to show the world that Jamaica is still open for business.
The theme for this year's Expo is "Brand Jamaica to the World".
The venue is the National Arena in Kingston.
Today, buyers and manufacturers will be in consultations and it is hoped that many solid, long-term partnerships and deals will be made.
From tomorrow to Sunday, the Expo opens to the public.
This year's Expo promises to be a huge event for manufacturers and buyers alike and seeks to encourage more local buyers for Jamaican-manufactured products.
We wish the JMA and JEA every success at fulfilling their goal of increasing the sales revenues of the companies under their umbrella.
