As promised in the following ad on our Twitter and Facebook accounts:
"Finding software tools online that you feel absolutely comfortable with can be daunting, well we’re making the process easier for you.
We’re experimenting with one such tool that helps you mobilize your website/blog. We’re going to tell you why we feel that this piece of cloud software is just what you need to meet your mobilization needs.
Pls stay tuned!"
...We now present a cloud service that 's ideal for mobilizing your website/blog (converting it to its mobile form).
It's called Conduit Mobile beta from Conduit Network.
[Conduit Network provides tools such as apps and toolbars that allow over 260,000 publishers (website/blog owners) to engage their over 250 million end users in 120 countries].
There are Six (6) Things That I Like About Conduit Mobile beta
1) It's free to use (for now)
2) It's a cloud service (this means that your app and its associated information is securely stored on Conduit servers), so there is nothing to download.
This also makes access to your apps, device independent
3) It's available on any mobile phone/device with Internet connectivity. These include Java phones and smartphones such as Android, Windows 7, Blackberry and the iPhone
4) No programming experience is needed to construct your app - just follow the tutorials re how to create your mobile (site) app and your app is ready within minutes (for the basic app) and..
...within one (1) hr - for Android and App Store apps, as you have to view and follow the tutorials re how to upload your apps to these platforms
5) Publishers get a share of the ad revenue generated from ads that Conduit Mobile shows on your mobile (site) app.
The more your app is downloaded and installed, the more money you'll make.
6) Conduit Mobile beta will help you promote your app within their global network.
One (1) Thing That I Don't Like, However
You will experience a few hiccups while using Conduit Mobile beta (hence the name "beta" being slapped on it)...
E.g.
1) How your (site) app is shown (rendered) on the various mobile devices may not be as displayed in your Control Panel.
(The Control Panel is where you control the look, feel and design of your app)
2) The "new design" page hangs when you try to see the new design they have up for the rendering of your mobile app on the various mobile smartphones.
(To rectify this problem, just refresh the page).
...Any problem that you have, however, can be resolved via contacting Conduit Mobile beta's Support team via the Support Page/Contact us form.
=============
So you may be wondering, "just how do they get to offer this service for free?"
Well, for right now, Conduit has implemented an ad revenue-share business model, that allows them to generate income from ads shown on publishers' websites and/or blogs.
Conduit gets the bulk of the ad revenue to fund the development of their service, while the rest goes to publishers.
Despite the few hiccups, I think that website/blog owners should give Conduit Mobile beta a spin.
It's the only mobilization service that allows you to upload your apps to App Store and Android Market for free.
(App Store and Android Market are the online stores for Apple iOS and Android apps, respectively).
Other services will charge you over US $100 for this privilege, which is even more incentive to use Conduit Mobile beta, now, while this privilege lasts! :)
