From time to time, our favorite browsers will give problems: they'll either crash - meaning, they'll suddenly stop working, or give error messages when we try to do our usual browser tasks, e.g. opening email.
Now, I have a love/hate affair with some browsers, in fact, Internet Explorer is a browser that I used to have a lot of confidence in, until it started crashing.
So I used other browsers to get around this problem.
However, when browsers start to misbehave, you can almost always find answers to your problems, online.
Internet Explorer 9 was crashing on my Vista computer, so I just typed in "Internet Explorer 9 problems with Vista", in a Google search...
...And received several results of persons having the same problem and solutions to the problem.
Now, when I'm having a problem with any software, I'll go to the maker's/developer's website, first, to see if they have a solution.
Only if they don't, will I go to other sites...but I will only accept advice from certified professionals, qualified to give advice re the software in question.
In my case, the makers/developers of Internet Explorer 9-Microsoft, provided a solution that worked for me.
Their site "Tips for solving problems when Internet Explorer crashes or stops working", gave me excellent advice that helped me solve the problem.
I eliminated the answers that were not pertinent to my situation and went to the one that was: I disabled add-ons...which is working well for me, for now.
So if you're having problems with Internet Explorer 9 or any other browser, check online for a solution first, before giving up on the browser and using another.
The answer may be right there, waiting for you to find it! :)
