Who is an inventor?
Well, Duke University's Office of Licensing & Ventures describes an inventor as someone who creates a new method (or way of doing things), process, device, algorithm, or tangible material that can be used for a specific purpose.
...and/or a person who significantly improves an existing method, process, device, algorithm or tangible material.
Most inventors hope that their invention can be commercialized (patented and then sold or licensed so that he/she is adequately compensated for it).
Few have been successful at doing so.
The videos above feature some of the inventors whom we'll be discussing...
Unfortunately some inventors (black and non-black alike) were never given credit for their inventions...as you see above.
========
In our Series, "Black Inventors Who Changed Our World!", we will be discussing black inventors whose innovations caused our world to be as we know it now, and in turn, helped it to be a better place.
We will show you their journey and how they overcame racism and dogma to do what they were gifted at - innovation.
Please sit back and enjoy the above YouTube videos from Onetrueprophet22, as these videos are a preamble to our series that will begin early next week.
(We apologize for the delay).
